To be fair, in the cabinet, only 4% are privately educated, compared to 63% in Sunak’s.

There’ll be plenty of dunces at private schools. They’re just trained better to pass exams. Post WW2 grammar schools shat on private schools for performance and many working class kids ended up going to Cambridge and Oxford.

Except the kind of intelligence that allows one to pay private school fees is also largely heritable.

One silver lining is that Labour tend to govern as a "Sofa Government" - that is making decisions within the Civil Service and 'Quangos' and then informing Parliament - as a means to keep the clowns on their backbenches from doing too much damage.
