Is there a term for the phenomenon where an issue is raised by lower-class types but only becomes a salient national problem when it affects upper middle class types? It’s something like a respectability cascade but not quite the same thing.

I dated an Altrincham girl and in mt experience they were all a classy lot. I spent a lot of time in the town back in the day. The school girls will be easy prey for these reprobates. Think the Rotherham scandal but with Land Rovers.

And imagine that one of the only views that these men will have had into British culture and the British way of life - above all, the only direct view they may have had of British women and girls - will be content like that ‘man’ who posts up videos of Northern girls on nights out to Tiktok, the comments of which are largely in Arabic, Hindi, and vulgar ‘international’ English. Chilling.

Interesting article. The asylum hotels in the United Kingdom thus far has not generated a single case of upskirting (taking photos by placing a phone and taking images for personal and or group use). However, nephew’s of certain political party has been convicted of this sex offence against our young women .
