State of the Right #16: Conferences, conferences, everywhere
ARC, CPAC, and the failures of right-wing conferences
Good morning,
Last weekend, we joined tens of other right wing luminaries at the inaugural CPAC GB, hosted by former Prime Minister and current national embarrassment Liz Truss. The event came less than a month after another conservative conference hosted in London and funded by American evangelicals, the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC). Today, we’ll review both events, asking what this kind of conference really achieves and exploring how the right might do better at organising large events.
