A moderation of AfD seems highly unlikely as polarisation and radicalisation have been the winning strategies so far. AfD doesn't want to govern and doesn't know how to govern. An absolute majority in Sachsen-Anhalt will quickly devolve into a clown show and new elections. For the CDU/CSU a coalition with AfD will be their death knell. Anyone advocating for it, is either historically and politically illiterate or secretly hates the CDU/CSU and wants them destroyed.
